What a great little barbecue place in the Third Ward. If you like barbecue, of any kind, and ribs, this is a must visit. We had North Carolina pulled pork sandwiches and they were quite tasty. I love the fact they do not put sauce on the meat so you can sample the four they offer: House, Kansas City, Texas and Carolina Gold. They are very particular about the quality of the meat which is also why they let you, not them, add any extras. The mac and cheese is right up there in my book (may have to update my Best Mac & Cheese post to include this one) and the corn bread was moist and delicious. The whole atmosphere of the place makes it a hoot – it made me feel like I was in a restaurant in West Virginia some place….in a good way. And to top it all off, everyone who worked there was extremely friendly, gracious and attentive. I am glad it is right around the corner from where I work, but also could be dangerous, especially once their outdoor patio opens up!
