Nana Asian Fusion and Sushi Bar

22 Jan

I am sure many of you Milwaukeans have beat me here since this place opened in November. I know it was getting dinged for their service, but we had probably the nicest and most attentive service I have experienced in a while. And the food was solid. Good sushi, good shumai, good edamame and the best crab rangoon I have quite possibly ever had. I say solid, because it was good, not remarkable, but pretty darn good. The space itself is fine – you can tell they tried to do something interesting. The bar is contemporary, kind of an attempt to be funky yet a little hint of upscale sports bar at the same time. That said, the atmosphere is much more inviting and comfortable than Izumi’s so when we want to go out for sushi we will most likely drive the extra few miles to Shorewood. All in all a solid choice for asian food and sushi.
