Best Nachos

3 May

I am amending this post based on the recommendation of my friend C.B. He said the best nachos in town were at El Senorial. So to test this theory a group of us vistited this south side establishment last week for lunch. You may need a map to get there.

He was correct! We had both chicken and beef nachos. The best thing about them – they put slices of fresh avocado over the top. And there is a jalapeno salsa they give you to sprinkle over the top for those who like the heat. They were divine from the meat to the cheese to the chips and now my #1 pick for nachos in Milwaukee.

I will also say the food in general was quite good. M. had enchiladas which were yummy and MJ and rest of us had tacos. The portions are almost comical though! D. ordered a burrito that was literally as big as her head. Our friend S. had a tape measure in her purse and the circumference was 10 inches and the length 7 inches!!! Sorry, she did not have a scale handy. But all in all very tasty! Try it – you will not be disappointed.

This is a short post because I am trying to connect my blog with my new Facebook page. So I will keep it short and sweet. The best nachos in town are:

#1 Elsa’s on the Park. Not sure how they do it, I think it is the cheese, but they are truly divine.

#2, roasted duck nachos at Balzac.

#3 white cheddar nachos with pulled pork at Roots Cellar.

You’re on a roll, Susan. I’ve never tried #2. Thanks for the tip.

LOVE the nachos at Cempazuchi on Brady. It’s all about the proper topping distribution for me…and good quality cheese – no whiz!!!
